| Ontario Non-Typical Archery Record Holder Bust-A-Buck is proud to Welcome Alex MacCulloch to our Pro Staff , look for his Great Buck story in North American Whitetail... Alex MacCulloch was born and raised in Canada's eastern most province Nova Scotia, Alex began his love affair with the outdoors as a youngster. By age twelve he was hunting, fishing and trapping and has never looked back. "The woods hold so many great memories for me, sights, sounds and smells, it's where I feel most at home." He moved to Ontario in 1987 and after a long hiatus away from the sport he returned with a vengeance in 2006, armed for the first time with a compound bow. His first hunting release took a beautiful thirteen pointer with a drop tine in the 140's, a buck of a lifetime for many but not for Alex! This season he destroyed the eight year old Ontario Archery Non-Typical Record of 197 3/8 when he downed a 26 point 213 2/8 Ontario monster. "I attribute much of my success to my hunting partners who have been kind enough to knock years off the archery learning curve, to the countless books and articles I have read in order to broaden my hunting horizons and to phenomenal bladder control that allows me to stay in the stand long after you've gone home, I believe the Bust-A-Buck line of products have the ability to once again place me in the Ontario record book!" When not hunting or thinking about it, Alex can be found practicing Physical Therapy in one of several clinics he owns.
Howard Hendee Owner of Bust-A-Buck has loved hunting since he was a youngster. He has worked with some of the leading companies in the hunting industry inventing and developing great new products. Howard has hunted several game species but his true passion for hunting is the great whitetail deer...
Hey I'm Eric Rash and I'm 25 years old and live in Holland, MI. I've been in the woods with my dad Steve and brother Nate since I was in diapers. Come October deer camp is my home away from home. I sat by my dads side year after year soaking up every bit of knowledge he would throw my way and at 12 I got my first deer and its been my life since. I also love to hunt waterfowl, I'f im not in my tree stand you can find me in my layout blind with my Browning busting birds. I've always hunted on our property in MI and this is the first year I will be traveling outside the state to hunt and I'm pumped to get out and experence a new area to hunt and new people to sit around deer camp with. I love meeting new people from around the country who share my passion of hunting and the outdoors. My dream would be to travel all over the country and make a living in the outdoor industry, but until then I'll just keep installing underground sprinkling it's paying the bills :) To sum things up I'm just a outgoing country boy who always has a smile on my face, loves to make people laugh and have a good time, hunt as much as possiable, spend time with my family and friends, a good bonfire and some cold ones, cooking on the grill, big trucks and cranking country music.
My name is John Jerzykowski. I was born and raised in Northwest Indiana. My dad, of the same name, is the one that got me into hunting. When I was about seven, my dad would take me out rabbit hunting. It wasn't too long before I was hooked. I was a high strung kid. You couldn't get me to sit still to save my life. You put me in a tree stand though, and I could sit all day, morning to night. I couldn't get enough of watching the deer all day long. I learned the most about hunting by just watching them. Their behaviors, patterns and habits. I learned the sounds they make and what they mean and the difference in all those things at different times of year, rut and pre-rut. I got my first buck when I was fourteen. THAT was a rush. He was 140 class 4x4 (8 pointer for those back east). My dad was out of town, so he called a good friend of his and told him to take me all over the place with my buck to show it off. That was a riot. If I wasn't 100% hooked by then, I was after that. Couldn't get enough. Even at that age, I wanted to challenge myself by always striving to do better. Learn from any mistakes and get the bigger one the next year. I still hold to that to this day. I feel there is always more to learn and better one's to get. I have tried to instill that in my children, and as best as I can tell, they have taken that message to heart. In 2002, I moved with my family to Wyoming. Things back east were getting bleak financially and we needed a change. I told my wife, I have hunted whitetail most of my life, and if we were going to move, I wanted to move some place where there were new challenges and can hunt pretty much anything there was to hunt. Wyoming it was. We have been pretty prosperous since we moved here, both financially and reguarding the hunt. I have finally been able to achieve my life long dream to elk hunt . Wyoming also offered new challenges to whitetail hunting as well. Recently, I have been offered the opportunity to fulfill another dream of starting a hunting team and putting my hunts and those of my partner's, family, and friend's on DVD and, hopefully soon, on television. Thank you to Bust-A-Buck for helping us get started. We hope to have something out soon in 2010.
I'm Charles Comstock I was born September 27, 1970 in the great state of Georgia. As far back as I can remember, my father was taking me fishing and hunting with him. As a child I often would sit on our back porch watching squirrels, lizards, and all other sorts of critters. I would devise spears and traps to take these animals with. My father read me books of Hemingway, Rourke, and told me of his days of living in Alaska hunting moose. I would have to say that my father instilled a fire within me for hunting that has never burned out. He inspired me to continue with my goal to become a professional hunter. I never read any traditional fairy tales; it was hunting and fishing magazines. I always dreamed of becoming a professional hunter in Africa, or hunting for a living. I can remember the first time he took me squirrel hunting. I was about eight or nine years old. We took a half a dozen squirrels. It was, and still is, one of the most memorable moments of my life. I have taken many whitetails across this country. A few big bucks, but each was a trophy in its own right. My interest in archery began in 1979, when I was only nine years old. In 1992, I stopped gun hunting to concentrate all of my efforts into bow hunting. I have won many archery tournaments, and qualified for the IBO World Shoot three times. I started filming my hunts in the late 1990s, as a hobby. In 2006, I decided, with my good friend Robert Combs, to get serious about filming hunts, thus Xstreem Quest Outdoors Productions, Team Midwest Maniacs was launched into the video scene. It has been a rough road, and it has all been worth it. I have the most beautiful and most understanding woman in the world now. Now at the age of 38, I have reached the goal that I have always strived for. A huge thanks goes out to everyone who has stood by me and believed in me. HAPPY BLOOD TRAILS!
Holly Isenhoff, I have resided in Middleville MI. my entire life on 91 serene acres located on the Thornapple River. Growing up I was introduced to nature’s beauty at a very young age and quickly realized how blessed we are to have time to spend one-on-one with God and his astounding creations while being in the outdoors. I remember countless times waking up extremely early to hunt with my dad and the excitement of the experiences ahead. At the age of thirteen I began hunting by myself; at that moment I began to love the sport more than ever! Over the years I have shot two eight points, two seven points and one six point; my family says it is by the luck of my character and not expertise… I beg to differ. J Most recently, after graduating college and having the time, I have taken up archery. I have to admit it is much more difficult than gun hunting; however I feel that the experience trumps any other. I attribute a large portion of my hunting success to my family for their advisements on everything and also from the experiences I have taken with me through life whether it is from bow hunting, gun hunting, bow fishing, fishing, or small game hunting.
My name is Marv Owen. I started hunting small game with my Dad and Brothers when I was was 10 years old. I taught myself how to deer hunt with a shotgun beginning at 14 yrs old. I didn't start bow hunting till I was about 25 yrs old and been hooked ever since. I hunt some on my lease in Michigan, but my real joy is hunting our farm which my partner Eric and I own in Illinois. There we manage the herd for QDM and only shoot mature bucks and all the does that we can, we bought or farm in 2003 and have seen steady improvement in the deer herd. Both Eric and myself have harvested mature bucks with the largest so far in the 150 class range. We have several food plots which are maintained all year long to provide good nutrition. They consist of clovers and several different annuals.I have hunted mule deer in several western states and also moose hunted several times all with a Bow. I also hunted bear in Ontario on several occasions.
My name is Ryan Flaming. I am 22 yrs old. I am currently a student at Kansas State University where I am majoring in Animal Science and will be graduating this December. After I graduate I plan on going back to the farm. My dream has been to work on the farm and work in the hunting industry. I grew up on an 850 acre farm in South Central Kansas. We raise registered Red Angus cattle and compete in cattle shows across the Midwest. While growing up my favorite things to do were hunting, fishing and working with animals.
Hey everyone my name is Mitch Murphy, Co-Founder of The Whitetail Mafia! I am an avid bow hunter of 10 years and have been hunting everything from gators to whitetail for over 15. I grew up in Florida where I was introduced to the outdoors at our camp in the Everglades. I now reside in the great state of Indiana where I chase the illusive Midwest Whitetail from October 1st thru January 3rd! I have developed a great passion, respect, and love for the outdoors that can never be taken away! I can truly say I live for the outdoors. I make it a point to do everything I can to preserve this great sport so when the time comes my son will have the same opportunities I've been blessed with. I've recently had the opportunity to use Bust-A-Buck products and have had multiple deer come in on the scent each and every hunt! I knew after the first hunt that I had finally found a Scent Company I would associate my name with. I believe with the Bust-A-Buck product line, this will be my most successful season! I am very excited and honored to be a part of Bust-A-Bucks Pro Staff.
My name is John Van Ness I grew up in a military family that traveled all around the country. My Dad served in the Marine Corps for thirty years and he was fortunate enough to settle down in Jacksonville, NC where I spent about thirteen years. My Dad and I hunted on Camp Lejeune with not much success, but I cherished every minute I could with him. He might not have been much of a hunter, but it was still fun to be doing what he called "hunting." I moved on with my life, joined the U.S Coast Guard and got married four days out of boot camp in 1991. I have one awesome four year old boy and future hunting partner. In 1996, I decided to try my hand at a career in law enforcement. I have been a full time police officer in central NC for over 12 years and hope to some day leave law enforcement to pursue my passion for hunting and the outdoors. During my career as an officer, I have been on the tactical team, where I was assigned as team sniper and entry team member. I love to shoot! My skills as a shooter helped me compete in a National shooting competition called the 5.11 Challenge in Montana in 2007. My partner and I did not win, but it was an experience of a lifetime. I was also a K-9 officer for about seven years and my K-9 partner, Judge, retired in Dec. of 06. He lives with me and is a permanent part of the family. I own a website that sells hunting equipment.... www.fulldrawproshops.com. I am always looking for new products to sell, new friends that can point me in the right direction and the opportunity to meet fellow outdoorsman that have great ethics and a sincere passion for hunting and the outdoors. I also book a few hunts on the side as well.

John Herring, West Michigan . To the masses hunting is considered a hobby. The word hobby itself means “an activity engaged in for pleasure and relaxation during spare time. ” To some this explains their connection with hunting to a tee. However, for others like my self it is so much more. Hunting to me is a passion, an object of intense enthusiasm, and an outburst of intense emotions. No matter what time of year it is there is a hunting season that I partake in. Whether its bow fishing in the summer, deer/waterfowl hunting in the fall, predator/critter hunting in the winter, or turkey hunting in the spring you can always find me in the woods, wading the river, or on the lake. Like many other outdoor enthusiast this passion has been passed down from father to son. I am blessed to be born into a family where hunting has created great bonding experiences. I also am blessed to have a father who has taken me across the country in search of big game starting at a very young age. Embedded memories and experiences like these will continue to fuel a life time passion for the outdoors and hunting throughout future generations. Genesis chapter one tells us how God put us on this earth for a reason. So whether you’re shooting the birds of the air, catching the fish of the sea, or hunting the beast that walk this earth…. Enjoy it to the fullest by stepping outside to BUST A BUCK!!!
Hi, I'm Charles Strader. I was born and raised in Ardmore, OK and 39 years later, I am still proud to call it my home. I was an only child and we lived in the country my entire childhood. Having very few friends nearby, I had to find things to keep me occupied. The things that I seemed to love and enjoy the most were hunting and fishing. The ranch I lived on had plenty of trees and water so I never had a problem finding something to shoot at or throw a lure at. I first picked up a bow when I was 13 and actually went hunting with a bow when I was 16. The rest is history…..I am totally addicted and it is as much a part of my life as eating and sleeping. I enjoy hunting with a rifle but haven’t picked a gun up in the last 5 years while deer hunting. Don’t get me wrong….I love all hunting whether it be for turkey, duck , dove, quail, or any other kind of hunting but deer hunting is truly my passion. I have harvested 39 deer with a bow and it never gets old. Each one is like my first!!!! I still hunt on the same land that I hunted as a young kid and I now have the pleasure of taking my kids with me and introducing them to this great sport. My son, Zac (10), shot his first deer in the 2009 season with his new .223. I must say, I was quite impressed as I watched and videoed him harvesting a 130” 10-point as his first-ever buck. But, not to be out-done, I actually had the opportunity to shoot my largest deer ever with my bow the same season…a 193 3/8” 6-year old. What a great season for the both of us. I truly believe the Whitetail Deer is the most majestic animal in the woods and I have so much respect for them as one of God’s creatures. There is something about the cat-n-mouse game or “chess match” between that deer and myself that keeps my blood boiling!!! I love being in that tree while trying to beat that deer’s eyes, nose, and ears while being in the right stand at the right time with the right wind and luring that “big boy” inside 40 yards where I can see the whites of his eyes and the drool dripping from his mouth that just makes me feel like nothing else in this world. Bow hunting, to me, is the ultimate sport and allows that majestic animal the same opportunity to beat me as I have of beating him. These moments are what dreams are made of and I can only dream of what the next season will bring.
Hey everyone I'm Josh Douglas, I am from Indiana where I was born and raised. I am 22 years old and love the outdoors and doing anything outside is my cup of tea. I enjoy late nights by a bonefire with all my friends just having fun, 4-wheelers, riding horses, and more.......... you name it though if I haven't tried it I'm up for the challenge. I am currently still in college finishing up my last year. I am majoring in the Environmental field and plan to work for my uncle's environmental consulting company afterwords. Hunting is my passion and I love to hunt deer and waterfowl. I would hunt more but those two are my specialty here in Indiana. I have hunted since I was 6 years old and bagged my first buck at the age of 10 after that I was hooked on Buck Fever. There is no other better feeling that having deer in front of you and your adrenaline going 150%. I love every aspect of hunting but most of all I love the challenge of it. There is nothing more fulfilling than gettin in the mind of a deer and basically becoming one of them and trying to figure out what the next move is going to be and where to set up to bust a buck or wack some waterfowl. I am proud to be part of the Bust-A-Buck Pro Staff Team.
My name is Jared Miller, I am 24 years old and was born and raised in South Central Kansas. I graduated from Kansas State University in 2007, and currently work in Agronomy Sales. I have to contribute my LOVE for the outdoors to my Father. I can still remember sitting in a treestand for the first time with my him. I was just old enough to climb up in the tree. and was hooked ever since. He was a bow hunter, and i always wanted to follow in his footsteps. I have been a bowhunting junkie for the past 7 years, and have had the pleasure to grow up in the middle of some of the finest Whitetail Hunting in the world. On 10/2/2009, I was blessed with a chance to put a spot and stalk on this beautiful 194" Non-Typical Mule Deer. He will score in the top 5 for Mule Deer taken with a bow in Nebraska. It was a do-it-yourself hunt with a buddy of mine. I am so blessed to be a part of the Bust-A-Buck team, and I am excited to show everyone what our products can do.
My name is Eric Worley, next to spending time with my wife, and two kids I enjoy spending time hunting big game animals. I have been fortunate to hunt and harvest animals in Michigan, Colorado, Texas, Wyoming, but my real passion is chasing big Midwestern whitetails on our farm in west central Illinois. Here my partner Marv, and I practice Quality Deer Management, habitat development. For the past six years we continue to see improvements in our deer herd by adding food plots, minerals, and letting smaller bucks grow. To finally harvest a mature buck after all of the dedication, hard work, and luck is an experience that will only fuel your addiction. It is a real pleasure to be affiliated with these other dedicated Bust-A-Buck pro staff members. Hunting safe, and Hunt Hard!
My name is Jason Morrow. I am 34 years old and live in Brandon, Mississippi with my wife, two boys, and daughter. I have been hunting every chance I get since I was a kid. I started by tagging along behind my grandfather since the tender age of five years old. He used his patience and skills with hunting to help develop my passion for the sport. My brother and I are carrying on this tradition with our children. We hunt and fish often, and we have caused the fire to burn deep within our children as well. I am an avid Whitetail and turkey hunter. Although I do hunt using all weapons for whitetails, my passion is getting up close and personal with that ole “Sad Daddy” with my bow. I enjoy using scents, decoys and any other tricks to outwit a big buck. I’m looking forward to the upcoming seasons as a Bust-a-Buck pro-staff member.
My name is Byron Mitchell. I am 30 years old and live in Lebanon, Missouri, with my wife and 2 sons. I have enjoyed hunting and being in the woods for as long as I can remember. After serving five years of active military service and almost 6 years of Reserve duty, I have taken my outdoor passion to the next level. I will be graduating from Missouri State University in Dec of 2009 with a wildlife degree, and hopefully going on to receive a Master’s degree in the future. I am really looking forward to being a part of the Bust A Buck team.
. Hello, my name is Brent Winka from Flora, a small town in southern Illinois. I am 40 years old and have a wonderful wife Jenny, and lovely daughter Hailey. The population around here is about 5,500 with the deer probably doubling that. I am employed by the City of Flora and have to use every second I can to escape to the woods. Deer hunting around my town is second nature, everybody does it in some way, shape, or form. I have lived here for 40 years and have been deer hunting for 25. I have to thank my dad for getting me started in hunting and my wife for letting me continue to enjoy it! I also am a die hard Bass fisherman and fish in every tournament I can get involved with even in the winter months. I have spent countless hours either in the woods, field, or on the bank of a river or lake with my dad. I have three brothers and somehow dad always found time to take us fishing and hunting. I take my hunting and fishing very seriously (some say I even treat it like a second job) but that is the way I like it. I learned a long time ago you get out of something what you put into it, and for me, I want to kill big deer and catch big bass with no exceptions. Bust-a-Buck has come up with some incredible products and I am honored to be involved with a company that can produce such quality scents for hunting. Thanks a bunch Howard for making such an unpredictable sport a little easier. Nick Werts began having an interest in hunting when he was about 5 years old. He tagged along with his neighbor on a couple of waterfowl hunts then completed the Illinois Hunter Safety couse so he could go on his first spring turkey hunt. On the first morning of the hunt Nick bagged his first long beard and was hooked for life. At age 15 he started bow hunting and found his true passion in the outdoors(Deer Hunting). Living near the Golden Triangle this made it very exciting for him. Now at 21, he juggles both work and living life from seaon to season as well as wanting to get into the outdoor industry.
Hey everyone I’m Chad Johnson. I’m 28 years old and was born and raised in Byron, Michigan. For the last 5 years I have worked for Local 370 as a Pipefitter. I also enjoy playing softball and recently have taken up video production. During my high school years my fall days were spent on the football field. It wasn’t until after graduation that I discovered bowhunting and my obsession was born. For the last three years I have been hunting with a group of my closest friends, called Cranberry Creek Outdoors. We hunt mostly public land across the Midwest and recently released our first DVD. This year I will be pursuing mature whitetails in Michigan, Iowa and Ohio, with the help of Bust-A-Buck I am anticipating a successful season. I am honored to be a part of the Bust-A-Buck Pro Staff who is made up of people who share the same passion for the outdoors.
Wayne is an avid outdoors man, with a passion for archery. Every fall you can find him with his close friends and family headed for a treestand to chase whitetails in the midwest. Some of Wayne's archery knowledge was obtained as an employee at Bass Pro Shops in Denver, Colorado as an archery technician. With just recently taking up bowfishing and waterfowl hunting, Wayne continues to enjoy the outdoors year round
My name is John Logeman and I was born in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. I am a full time Captain on the Oshawa Fire Service. Fishing and archery hunting is a large part of my life. I have been involved with archery for approximately 20 years and am currently the President of the Durham Archery Club. I just placed third at the Ontario provincial 3D championship and am sitting in second place at the Triple Crown. At this time I am sponsered by the APA bow company. I shoot 3D archery to improve on my skills for hunting. I have hunted bear, caribou, moose, wild boar, coyotes and of course whitetails with a bow. The picture above was the #14 non-typical record in Ontario. My favourite hunting is for moose with over 20 to my credit. Being part of Alex MacCulloch's new Ontario whitetail record was awesome. I am sure I will have some great photos for you this year for I have booked a moose and caribou hunt in Quebec. The products that Bust-A-Buck has to offer will cover all your needs for whitetail hunting.
Rebecca Ann Wolfe has hunting in her genes. She does enjoy the sport of hunting but does it with glamour and finesse’. In fact, she was hunting while in the womb. As an only child of Scott and Virginia Wolfe who were avid hunters from South Florida, Rebecca hunted as young as eight months before she was born! They would hunt hog and deer in the Everglades, Avon Park and the Big Cypress area with Scott’s four brothers and friends. Every Friday as soon as Scott would get home from his work-week as a Plumber, Rebecca recalls her Mom being packed and ready to head to the hunt camp where they would stay all weekend. Rebecca’s paternal grandfather is Bud Wolfe, a Hall of Famer in Sporting Clay’s who has traveled the world with renowned recognition in skeet and speed shooting. The Bud Wolfe Classic held annually in Fort Lauderdale is his namesake. Her fathers’ mother, Alice Ann Wolfe, on the other hand was a swimsuit model and department store model in Detroit and in South Florida. Rebecca’s Mom, Virginia Fay Hatfield from Virginia (yes, she’s related to the infamous Hatfield and McCoy’s) was also a model and an extra in Miami Vice in the 80’s. Rebecca was an only grandchild for a number of years and was carted everywhere Scott and Virginia hunted or fished. Even as a young child she would go gigging and gator hunting. However, she also grew up modeling, cheering and competing in beauty pageants when she wasn’t climbing trees or chasing lizards. She spent many hours with family and friends as the only child and learned not to fear anything—even the alligator. One of which she has recently conquered and killed. She has also shot deer, quail, and dove. While her favorite sport is hog hunting, her dream is to kill a Trophy Buck and a Bear. Today, Rebecca has become a beautiful All American (“Republican”, she quips) girl who loves to also shop and who stands for our second amendment rights and is proud to be a NRA member. Three years ago, at nineteen she was discovered on My Space and started doing hunting promotions/modeling, JUST like her grandparents before her. Hence, glamour and game is in her genes. Rebecca truly has her “game on”, do you have yours? To her credit she has promoted and modeled for “Razor Back Outfitters”, “Backwater Bowfishing”,“Beyond Backpacks”, “Xtreme Gloves”, “Hawg and Sons”and more. She has been in two filmed hunts-- one was for gator in Florida with Eddie, owner of Razor Back Outfitters and the other filmed hog hunt in Georgia with North America Hunting Adventures. She is currently engaged to Brannon Spradley who also enjoys doing everything she does with one exception—shopping! They have been together for seven years and plan to marry once they have their home established. She also dreams of having her own hunting show or to at least be a part of one. Another dream is to have a women’s hunting apparel line featuring a very feminine look of which she already has a title for. If you are interested in contacting Rebecca for modeling, promotions, etc. she can be reached at huntinchickrw@yahoo.com.
My name is Bryan Busse and I was born and raised in Indiana. My father and grandfather started me deer hunting when I was 9 years old. I took my first buck the following year and it has been an obsession ever since. Coming from a farming family I realize the importance of controlling the herd. When I was young there was a definite over abundance of does in our area and they caused tremendous crop damage, so I would take as many as we legally could. Every time I stepped in the field I would learn a little more about the whitetail and I still do every time I go. We eventually got the herd down and about 7 years ago I was up for a new challenge of going after mature bucks and sill take as many doe as possible. At first a 2 1/2 year old buck was a mature buck in the area and after passing up countless bucks I started seeing 4 1/2 and 5 1/2 year old bucks and have been successful in harvesting the 5 1/2 + bucks. I don't consider myself a "Trophy Hunter" by any means. I prefer to pursue mature bucks and if they have good headgear that's just a bonus. I am currently on the Mossy Oak Prostaff, a RutWear Field Expert, and now am excited to be on the Bust-A-Buck Prostaff.
